Rutger stops after the swim leg
Bad news from Canberra. Rutger did not start on the bike. He came out of the water, but was totally frozen. Before the start of the race, the pro's had to wait in the very cold water for 15 minutes and that proved to be very detrimental for him. A similar thing happened a few years ago in Frankfurt, Germany. For whatever reason, Rutger seems to be unable to cope with the cold in the water. More news later.
